Holy smokes, this book actually smolders! Full disclosure, Ms. Knight is on my auto-buy list because I love the way she tells a story. Having said this, I absolutely feel like this might be her best book to date. Natasha does dark romance so well, but she takes it to a whole new level with Retribution. I love that the author writes in alternating first person so we truly get inside the heads of our hero and heroine to see what makes them tick. She takes the reader along for the ride as each struggle to come to terms with the overwhelming experiences happening in their lives. With many other authors in this sub-genre, they create heros that are so past redemption that it is unbelievable when they try to turn them into 'good guys' at the end. Ms. Knight straddles that line between light and dark perfectly and shows us what makes her characters tick so that we are with them every step of the way, cheering when things work out for them in the end. And let's not forget the smoking hot sex scenes that will melt your kindle. You'll need a cold shower after this one!Product details

I started this on a Friday and could not put it down all weekend long. I believe this is only the second book I've read by Natasha Knight and I will definitely be on the lookout for more. I am giving this book 5 stars because it gripped me from the very beginning and kept me intrigued throughout. This is a dark read with scenes of abuse but not as dark as some that I've read. I look forward to more from Natasha and am hoping for a spinoff featuring Nikki and maybe Clay.
If you like dirty, dirty sex then this story will work for you. This author never fails to deliver on super filthy sex scenes. But I did struggle with the reality of the storyline a bit. I can't say much as will give away the ending, but it would just never happen. There's no way someone could be forgiven for doing something like that to another person.
And I didn't find Elle to be a very likeable character - wishy washy and weak. But all in all, the rest of the plot was good and fast paced and kept me reading from start to finish. And I'll continue to buy books from this author.
Retribution is a great read. We get to meet Adam (out to seek vengeance) and Elle (innocent & living in denial).
Due to the tragic and sad end of Adam’s sisters life, he is hell-bent on seeking revenge against the one(s) he believes caused her to end her life.
This is where Elle comes in. She is the pawn Adam feels is necessary to resolve his pain and avenge his sister. What Adam doesn’t expect is that along the way he unexpectedly develops feelings for Elle and the truths that he believed and held onto for the sake of his sister; all turn out to be lies.
Should Adam have trusted those closes to him? You will have to read Retribution to find out.

OMG!! Whenever I see a new book by Natasha Knight I grab it. My big mistake was starting to read this book at 1230 am and didn't put it down until I finished it at 430 am. I think this is the best one by Natasha Knight and each book gets better and better. This is such an intense Dark Romance that I got caught up in the emotions and feelings of the characters. I also liked the way each chapter was from the point of view of the main characters. There are intense scenes of torture, whipping, spanking, violence and much more.
It's a good , enjoyable book with a likable heroine and a hot alpha male . A great storyline and the author writes well . Lots of steamy , hot , sensual scenes and a nice pace to the story . The only thing I disliked is how instantaneously she forgives Everything he does to her . We know it's an HEA , so why not have him earn it ? Scenes where he's saying sorry are damn sexy. We know she'll forgive him in the end for torturing her , but doing it so quickly undermines her own credibility as we are supposed to believe her life goal is to set up a safe house for women who are taken advantage of by men.
But yes I would definitely recommend this book .
Fifteen years earlier, Adam's older sister was kidnapped by sex traffickers. She escaped and returned as merely a shell of her former self. Weeks later she committed suicide. Adam has thought of nothing but retribution and revenge all these years. He has a plan, a plan that he knows will hurt the man responsible. He's going after Manuel Vega's daughter Elle, and he plans on doing to her what was done to his sister. What he didn't plan on were the feelings he developed for Elle. He also didn't plan on the guilt he felt or the disgust with himself. How could he destroy Elle without destroying himself?
When Adam approaches Elle and gets to know her, you can tell he's going to struggle with implementing his plan. He's not a monster, even though he tries to be one in remembrance of his sister. Elle sees this and knows Adam is having a hard time with what he's doing. The chemistry between Adam and Elle is intense and completely two sided. I felt for the suffering that both characters were going through hoped for a ending that would allow them to be together. Lies were told; secrets are revealed; eyes are opened and wrongs are righted.
Retribution is told in dual POVs and ends with the perfect ending for these characters.
This is a story about the high personal cost of revenge and the sheer power of forgiveness. An unexpected theme for a Dark Romance, which Natasha skillfully and boldly presented with a combination of quiet subtlety and a gritty, in-your-face clubbing, sans anything too preachy. This was quite a feat she accomplished. Frankly, this story blew me away, in a good way.
There is a scene in this book that proved to be the most intense scene I've ever read, bar none. You will know it when you get to it, I'm sure.
The scenes are hot, the characters exceedingly well portrayed, and the plot really held together. This is Natasha's best book yet, though she dealt with a theme that may prove too dark and honest for those looking for hearts and flowers, moonlit strolls, and chaste kisses on the cheek.
